ABout ist
Founded in Taiwan in 1976, IST initially sold windsurfing boards. Soon after they began releasing a broader range of diving equipment, including masks, snorkels and fins. As a pioneer in the market, they produced great quality at more affordable prices, earning high praise from their new customer base. Currently IST sells a wide range of diving equipment and sells to more than 121 countries worldwide. See the website for yourself here.
project scope
A collaborative effort between web designers and developers, the project scope covered an initial audit of their website and content. Both UX and UI were considered for the new website in order to create a seamless and efficient experience for their primary customer demographic; their IST product dealers. Modernizing their website was not enough, we also designed their site to be both responsive and intuitive for their dealers to navigate.
b2b considerations
Dealers can now apply for an application, manage their account and access their custom dealer portals, as well as add wholesale items to their cart and checkout through the custom developed x-cart system. The UX was taken a step further when we added a bonus functionality for retail customers to access a custom dealer updated events page and live dealer locator.
